Working with Intermodal Structures, SBA has designed five prefabricated buildings, including housing, office, and classroom elements. Each structure is comprised of up to 24 modules manufactured in a shipping container plant in China. The designs exceed international building codes, allowing installation and relocation worldwide. Minimal site construction further reduces costs and schedule. The buildings are designed for maximum livability and durability, using natural ventilation and shading against tropical heat. Thoughtful interior design transforms what is essentially a metal box into an inviting space to live and work.
