Jenkins Wax Residence

San Francisco, CA
Completed 2008

Prior to its transformation, this Noe Valley house was a collection of small, dark rooms with no connection to the rear yard. Using an expanse of glass and two clerestory lanterns, a brightly lit kitchen and dining room were realized, reconnecting the home to its newly landscaped garden. The design creates a very high volume in the kitchen, to capture the south sun reaching over adjacent homes and mature trees.
