Serving a diverse population in a small community near Santa Rosa, CA, this charter high school required new permanent facilities to support its successful college preparatory program. Collaborating with Aidlin Darling Design, SBA acted as the project’s educational specialist, providing expertise and direction on the design of the varied educational spaces, and on building code and DSA compliance.

Importance was placed on creating a positive and welcoming environment, with ample natural light, and a visual connection to the surrounding exterior landscaped spaces. Classrooms and multifunction spaces, such as the large interior amphitheater, were designed to provide a range of formal and informal educational and gathering opportunities.
