Bill has been at the forefront of pre-K–12th grade educational design for over 35 years, creating innovative places to teach, learn, and play. Through a deeply collaborative design process he creates educational spaces where communities congregate, celebrate achievements, find common ground, and cheer for the home team. His projects have revitalized struggling neighborhoods, breathed new life into neglected buildings, and earned the high regard of education professionals.

Bill is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a veteran of the United States Navy. He is a former Board member of the Headlands Center for the Arts and the Architectural Foundation of San Francisco. During his time away from the office you may find him sketching in Golden Gate Park and then transforming his drawings into beautiful linoleum cut prints.
